    Austria's largest apricot-growing community, the municipality of Rossatz-Arnsdorf, lies on the southern bank of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau. It is not only wine that characterizes this landscape. After centuries of cultivation, the Wachau apricot is a popular crop. With the apricot mile, the apricot growers try to bring the topic closer to hikers.It is divided into a western part (St. Johann-Bacharnsdorf) and an eastern part (Rührsdorf-Rossatzbach). The so-called Salettl in Oberarnsdorf is the starting point of the circular walk.

    Roadbook

    Die Rundtour startet in Oberarnsdorf beim sogenannten Salettl. Von dort führt der Weg zuerst entlang der Bundesstraße. Nach dem Weingut Hick biegt man rechts Richtung Glauberkreuz ab. Durch Marillengärten geht es Richtung Donau zur Anlegestelle der Rollfähre. Hier angelangt wandert man neben der Donau zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
