From the Roman town of Carnuntum, the trail leads across the parking lot to the Heidentor, the landmark of the region and the Carnuntum Way of St. James. The route continues along the signposts to Wildungsmauer with its Romanesque church or alternatively towards Regelsbrunn. Via Haslau you reach Maria Ellend, where the pilgrimage church "Our Lady of the Rosary" and the famous Lourdes Grotto invite you to pause for a moment.

Roadbook
Bei der Römerstadt Carnuntum geht es über die Straße und über den großen Parkplatz in Richtung Heidentor. Vorbei geht es am Wahrzeichen der Region und auch des Jakobsweges Carnuntum, dem Heidentor. Man folgt nun weiter den Wegweisern des Jakobsweges nach Wildungsmauer. In Wildungsmauer angekommen, hat man nun die Möglichkeit, die romanische Kirche aus dem 16. Jhd. zu besuchen oder man folgt dem Wegweiser zur Buschenschank Jahner nach links in Richtung Regelsbrunn. In Regelsbrunn geht es an der Jakobskirche vorbei und man folgt der Abzweigung halbrechts Richtung Haslau. Bei der kleinen Kapelle geht es links nach Maria Ellend weiter. Angekommen in Maria Ellend kann man nicht nur die Wallfahrtskirche „Unserer Lieben Frau vom Rosenkranz“ besuchen, sondern auch die bekannte Lourdesgrotte.
